To create a new project in Zuriey CRM, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Projects: Go to the Projects section from the sidebar menu.
- Click New Project: Select the New Project button located at the top left.
Project Details
- Project Name: Enter the name of the project, which will be visible to the customer.
- Select Customer: Choose the customer associated with this project.
- Billing Type: There are three billing types available for projects (the most commonly used type will be auto-selected). Note that the billing type cannot be changed if there are any billed tasks associated with the project:
- Fixed Cost
- Project Hours: Based on the project's total billable hours.
- Tasks Hours: Based on the total billable hours of tasks, calculated per task's hourly rate (ensure you set an hourly rate for billable tasks when creating them).
- Select Project Members: Only project members and staff with permission to manage projects will have access to this project.
- Start Date: Specify the project's start date.
- End Date: Specify the project's end date.
- Project Description: Provide a brief description of the project.
Project Settings
Each project can have its own settings based on customer preferences. The following options are available:
- Allow Customer to View Tasks
- Allow Customer to Comment on Project Tasks (not applicable if "Allow Customer to View Tasks" is unchecked)
- Allow Customer to View Task Comments (not applicable if "Allow Customer to View Tasks" is unchecked)
- Allow Customer to View Task Attachments (not applicable if "Allow Customer to View Tasks" is unchecked)
- Allow Customer to View Task Checklist Items (not applicable if "Allow Customer to View Tasks" is unchecked)
- Allow Customer to Upload Attachments on Tasks (not applicable if "Allow Customer to View Tasks" is unchecked)
- Allow Customer to View Task Total Logged Time
- Allow Customer to View Finance Overview (Note: Finance overview for tasks is not shown if the project billing type is Fixed Cost)
- Allow Customer to Upload Files
- Allow Customer to Open Discussions
- Allow Customer to View Milestones
- Allow Customer to View Gantt Chart
- Allow Customer to View Timesheets
- Allow Customer to View Activity Log
- Allow Customer to View Team Members
Notes
- When creating a new project, the default settings will be taken from the last created project. You can adjust these settings as needed.
- The project currency will default to your base currency or the customer's currency. If the customer has a different currency set up than your base currency, that currency will be used from their profile.
